Dennis continues to be remembered for his 50 years of calling by dancers and clubs along the way even after receiving his initial recognition at the Callerlab Convention in April 2007. All the clubs presented Dennis with something as a reminder of his achievement but because Dennis was caught off guard many moments were not documented with photos. 2007 MDA DANCE-THON — September 2, 2007

While calling for the Leather & Lace in Pueblo, Colorado the club made Dennis call a tip holding another "golden mic" on a horse. Well, this is the best horse they could come up with.

While calling an afternoon plus dance and a evening graduation dance for the Hi Valli Swingers in Monte Vista, Colorado the club surprised Dennis with a couple of hats and a banner. Dennis when on to call other dances and the dancers signed the banner along the way.

Dennis shares the mic with Dick Rueter while visiting the Fair-Bow-Si-Do's in Faribault, Minnesota on May 19, 2007. During the dance the club presents Dennis with his first "golden mic" award.
