So sorry we didn't get down for the big party.
Dewey has been kinda sick. He had bad heart
flutters on Fri and I took him to E.R. He
was there most of the day. Thought maybe he
would want to go today but he said he just
didn't feel like riding that far. Hope it
was a good turn out. Talk to you later.

I've known Dennis for almost 30 years of his
50 years of calling, and have enjoyed knowing
him as well as his parents -- and his kids!
Putting
Shepherd Swingers together (1978) was lots
of work and lots of fun, too!

What a wonderful celebration!
It took a lot of hard work, Dennis, to get
to this point, but I know you love every minute
of it.
When Leslie started he made 8 dancers out
of small squares of wood and spent many Sunday
mornings working out patters - and I still
have them.
I'll never forget when Lace & Levis' kids
woke us up at 5 o'clock in the morning and
wanted to square dance. The neighbors way
down the street heard it, too. "Wake
up, Mr. Ely." Were you one of those kids,
